How to navigate in MAGNET Explorer

Navigation modes and mouse button functions:

Pan

Using the left mouse button: You can drag the view.    

Using the right mouse button: You can move around a selected point in an orbit. The center of the view moves to the selected point.

The mouse wheel: This zooms the camera closer to a model or farther away from it.

Orbit

The left mouse button: You can move around a selected point in an orbit. The center of the view moves to the selected point.

The right mouse button: You can drag the view.

The mouse wheel: This zooms the camera closer in to a model or farther away from it.

Fly

The left mouse button: Movement is started by pressing the left button and moving the mouse in the desired direction.

Forward: Place the cursor in the upper part of the screen

Backward: Place the cursor in the lower part of the screen

Turn right: Place the cursor on the right of the screen

Turn left: Place the cursor cursor on left of the screen

The mouse wheel: This alters your view to look up or down.

The right mouse button: You can drag the view.

Walk

You are attached to the ground and you can move as in Fly navigation mode.

Drive

You are attached to the ground and you can move as in Fly navigation mode.

Home

Go to initial viewing position.

View all

Zooms the window to show the entire model.

Go to object

Moves to the selected object.

Go to view

You can go to the previous or next view.

Allow moving underground

If this mode is on, you can also navigate underground.
